- Alice in Chains' second album, Dirt, is moody and portentous, filled with inspired riffing from guitarist Jerry Cantrell and hair-tossed wailing from singer Layne Staley.
- The Foo Fighters is a rock band formed in Seattle in 1994, originally as a one-man project by former Nirvana drummer David Grohl. Sonic Highways is the 8th studio album and has Grohl on guitar.
- Soundgarden was a grunge rock band formed in Seattle in 1994 and officially disbanded, for good, in 2018. This is the band's 3rd album and was nominated for a Grammy for Best Metal Performance in 1992.
- Pearl Jam is a rock band that was formed in Seattle in 1990. There's no overestimating the role that this album played in making the band a key member of the Seattle grunge explosion.
- Carlile was born in Ravensdale, WA and got her start singing in Seattle night clubs. This is her 5th album which hit No. 1 on Billboard's Top Rock Album Chart and is considered a rock and folk crossover album.
- Recorded during her 2010 tour in support of Give Up the Ghost, this live album has Brandi Carlile performing a mix of original songs and cover material alongside the Seattle Symphony.
- Fleet Foxes is an indie folk band formed in Seattle in 2006. This is their 3rd studio album.
- Death Cab for Cutie is a rock band formed in Bellingham, WA in 1997. This is their fourth album with "Indie pop-rock/alternative rock/shoegaze/dream pop/twee pop/college rock" songs; principally written by Benjamin Gibbard.
- Thanks in part to a devoted fan following and some help from 'The O.C.,' Death Cab For Cutie has become one of the biggest bands in alternative music. 'Plans' features modern rock radio hit 'Soul Meets Body.'
- Hendrix was born in Seattle in 1942. Live at Woodstock is a special two-CD set of expanded, remixed, and remastered recordings from Jimi Hendrix's famed August 1969 performance at the Woodstock Festival. He died a year later in 1970.
- Seattle-born Jimi Hendrix's mastery of studio technology is put on display with the final installment in the trilogy of releases that opened up the archives. Ten of the thirteen tracks featured here have never been released.
- Original Heart members Fossen and Fisher are from Seattle, though they ended up in Vancouver, Canada, so Heart is considered an American and Canadian rock band. Fanatic is their 14th studio album.
- Beautiful Broken, Heart's 16th studio album, revisits their catalog and consists mostly of re-interpretations of previously recorded songs. The album reached number 9 on Billboard's Rock Album Chart.
- Mother Love Bone was formed in Seattle in 1988 and was destined to be described as "the band Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard were in before Pearl Jam." Considered early pioneers in the alternative metal genre.
- After finding mainstream success with musical partner, producer Ryan Lewis, affable Seattle rapper Macklemore returned to his own material with Gemini, his first solo output since 2009's The Unplanned Mixtape EP.
- Sleater-Kinney is a rock band that formed in Olympia in 1994 and emerged as part of the riot grrrl movement. This is the band's 9th studio album and the last that includes Janet Weiss on drums, harmonica and vocals.
- This is the band's 4th studio album and recorded in Seattle. It steers away from the hard punk rock style of previous albums and has a more lyrical and relaxed sound.
