Connecting Through Crafts: Mini Fabric Collages with Lianna Gilman
Taught by local artist Lianna Gilman, this month’s featured craft is creating small whimsical collages out of fabric and yarn scraps on cardboard backings. These collages are quick and easy to put together and make great little gifts, wall art, refrigerator magnets, or adornments as pendants or lapel pins.
Lianna Gilman is a free-style weaver and fiber artist with an adventurous mixed-media spirit. She creates one-of-a-kind wearable art, wall-hangings, table-runners, home decor, vessels, and whimsical whatnots. Visit www.heartsong-weaving.com for more about her work.
Connecting Through Crafts is an opportunity for older adults to craft community over art and conversation. Supplies, coffee, and tea will be provided.
This program is funded by the Friends of the Freeland Library.
To request a sign language interpreter, complete this online form or contact your local library at least two weeks prior to the library event. Interpreters will be provided based on availability.
