Event description

Join Randal Gravelle to hear about the early days of our local area, from prehistory to 1945. The presentation begins with a brief overview of the geologic forces and Indian trails, then covers the first settlers and how the Interurban and land developers drew a few hundred full-time residents. The focus then moves away from Mountlake Terrace’s core down to Lake Ballinger and touches on the northeast section.

Drawing from his book, Mountlake Terrace: A History Of 4 Square Miles, local author and retired history teacher Randal Gravelle shares vivid stories and surprising facts that bring this area’s early history to life. Don't miss this engaging journey through time!
