Mill Creek Library Writing Workshop: Dreams, Ideas, Outlines
Have you ever heard someone say that ideas are cheap? Well, that doesn’t mean they’re always easy to come by. It also doesn’t mean that every idea is good, useful or exciting for a story.
In this workshop we’ll talk about generating ideas to fill the well of inspiration, and figuring out how they might go together in exciting ways. With in-class exercises and even more to take home, expect to leave full of ideas on how to be … well, full of ideas!
Gordon B. White is a graduate of the Clarion West Writing Workshop and a Shirley Jackson Award- and Bram Stoker Award-nominated writer of horror and weird fiction. His stories have appeared in dozens of venues and collections. You can find him online at www.gordonbwhite.com.
