Event description

Join us for an 8-week series to bond with your new baby, grow your caregiving skills and build community with other parents and caregivers. Food will be provided for caregivers at each session.

Sessions are on Wednesdays 11:00am -1:00pm, April 29th - June 17th. Registration is required to attend.

The evidence-based parenting classes are designed specifically for parents, grandparents, or other caregivers of newborns (birth - 8 months), providing you with the tools, support, and knowledge you need to give your baby the best possible start in life. Grounded in rigorous research and proven methodologies, this program offers practical guidance that goes beyond trends or anecdotal advice, ensuring reliability and effectiveness for your family.

What You’ll Gain:

Expert Guidance: Learn from a trained professional using strategies that have been scientifically validated to improve parent-child relationships and promote healthy child development.

Foundational Skills: Discover how to foster secure attachment, promote your baby’s physical and language development, and create a nurturing, safe environment.

Stress Reduction: Evidence-based programs help reduce parenting stress and boost your confidence, making the transition into parenthood smoother and more enjoyable.

Positive Outcomes: Parents who participate are more likely to engage in daily play, read books with infants, and use gentle, effective discipline. Babies benefit from greater attachment security and fewer behavioral problems as they grow.

Support and Community: Connect with other new parents, share experiences, and build a supportive network as you navigate the joys and challenges of caring for a newborn.

Parents are strongly encouraged to attend all sessions in this series to gain the full benefits the classes and build community.

Presented by Camille Hereth, BA, CC, CPE a mental health counselor trained in perinatal mood disorders and certified parent educator.

Car seat safety checks are also included for class participants.
