Protecting Kids from Sexual Abuse: A Series with LSPD's Kristin Parnell
Join Kristen Parnell from the Lake Stevens Police Department to continue the discussion on how to keep children safe from child molesters. In this session, participants will learn how some individuals who abuse children are able to gain trust, manipulate families, and avoid detection. The goal of this seminar is to increase awareness so adults can more effectively recognize concerning behaviors and protect children.
Through training materials originally developed for law‑enforcement education, attendees will watch pre-recorded interviews with convicted offenders describing the tactics they used to approach and select victims, as well as how they influenced the adults in their victims’ lives.
