Star Lore of the Ojibwe with Mystic Seaport Museum
Join us to examine the star lore of the Ojibwe, a First Nations tribe living in the Great Lakes region of southern Canada and the midwestern United States. We will discover the elements that make up the traditional ecological knowledge of the Ojibwe and learn how the Ojibwe incorporate their cultural values into creating an understanding of the world around them.
Mystic Seaport Museum is the nation’s leading maritime museum. Founded in 1929 to gather and preserve the rapidly disappearing artifacts of America’s seafaring past, the Museum has grown to become a national center for research and education with the mission to “inspire an enduring connection to the American maritime experience.”
