Learn about the surprising partnerships forged between animals and fungi in Whidbey's forests. Discover how animals hunt, farm, self-medicate and even get intoxicated on mushrooms, all while playing a crucial role in the delicate balance of nature. Prepare to be amazed by the intricate web of life beneath our feet.

Science teacher turned storyteller, Eva Gordon has 20 years in the classroom and serves as the Co-Chair on the Education Committee for the North American Mycological Association. Eva shares her passion for fungi and nature, finding inspiration in the forests around the Pacific Northwest. She recently published Animal Mycophiles: Critters That Hunt, Farm, Self-medicate and Get High on Fungi.
