Drop in for a lively book discussion with your community neighbors. Meet new friends, enjoy a love of books, and check out something new from your community library. This month we will be discussing The Beekeeper of Aleppo by Christy Lefteri. 

Nuri, a Syrian beekeeper, and his wife Afra, an artist, are forced to flee war-torn Aleppo after losing everything. Afra’s blindness makes their journey through Turkey and Greece even more perilous as they struggle to survive and rediscover hope on the road to Britain.

A Book Discussion Kit book for this selection is available for pick-up at the Stanwood library after February 1, 2026.
