Adventure Sketching with Maria Coryell-Martin

on May 17, 2025, 11:00am to 12:30pm

Event description

Join Art Toolkit founder Maria Coryell-Martin to explore fundamental tools and techniques for creating colorful and expressive sketches.

Maria will share stories from her expeditions painting around the world while demonstrating how gesture, contour, and thumbnail sketches can quickly capture a sense of place. Art Toolkit supplies will be available to demo, or you can bring your own sketchbook to follow along! This event is free and open to all: enthusiastic artists of all ages and levels are welcome.

Space is limited to the first 30 people in attendance.

Maria is an expeditionary artist following the tradition of traveling artists as naturalists and educators. Her travels have brought her face-to-face with polar bears, leopard seals, emperor penguins, and narwhals. Learn more at: expeditionaryart.com
