STARS Training: Introduction to Autism Spectrum Disorder
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) affects 1 in every 36 children. This means early childhood educators will likely have a child with ASD in their classroom every 2-3 years. This autism training will give you the knowledge and skills to understand and support any young child with ASD.
Presented by Northwest Center Kids this training will cover the following topics:
- What is ASD?
- Signs and characteristics of ASD in children
- How to partner with families
- Quality inclusive practices for supporting children with ASD
