Khaled Hosseini's gut-wrenching novel "The Kite Runner" surrounds an Afghan boy named Amir whose life story progresses throughout the novel in a partially racist and classicist society. This book was enjoyable because it encompassed the cruelty of humanity while simultaneously demonstrating a man's fight to redeem himself of his past sins. If you enjoyed "A Thousand Splendid Suns" or "The Book Thief" then you should read this! Reviewed by Emma
