Having read "Still Alice" I did wonder how this book would compare. This book is very different. The main character Anna is diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's in her thirties. She decides that she will relocate to a nursing home where there happens to also be another patient with early onset Alzheimer's with whom she strikes up a friendship with. The other storyline involves the nursing home's cook. While the book does discuss Alzheimer's and some of it's symptoms I found the nature of the book less serious than "Still Alice" and the ending much more optimistic. It made me feel that sometimes there really is a light at the end of the tunnel.
