A Night Divided was a nerve-racking, sitting on the edge of your seat book that I enjoyed reading. This book was about a young girl named, Gerta, whose family was divided by the Berlin Wall. Her mother, older brother, and she live on the East side of the Berlin Wall where the Soviet Union had control over. Her father, and her other brother reside on the West side of the Berlin Wall, where the French, British, and U.S. had power over. One day, Gerta sees her father on the other side of the wall after approximately three years. He tells her to dig a tunnel so that she and her family can cross the wall and the Death Strip. With the risk of getting caught, the consequences will be deadly. Is Gerta willing to sacrifice and risk her life to reunite with her family and gain her freedom?
