Some interesting and thought-provoking ideas in this unique memoir. It's unusually structured on elements, and spends large portions describing nature in the many places he has lived and been.
I found it a long, dry read, and the poetic, prosaic, overly descriptive writing style didn't engage me. If it weren't for the scattered gems here and there I would not have been able to finish it!
