Excellent film. Fantastic performances. Nothing unecessary, well directed, filmed and written. Explores mental illness, (could be any addiction, depression, compulsion, obsession, imbalance) its affects on others, the deadly potential, the constant inner struggle to survive, to rise above and become stronger than the disease. The fight of that monster that lives within. The dennial, the submission, the powerlessness, the defeat, the loss, the insanity, the suffering, the pain, the struggle just tomsurvive, live one more day, try to have relationships. Acceptance, non acceptance, self hatred.. The absolute necessity of others who can love and understand the sick person without expectations, and conditions, is essential (and almost non existent, ) to healing and survival. Very dark, deep to the point that it seems almost funny, but is not. Her commentary and deleted scenes are a fantastic addition. Worth watching a few times. Similar to Finnish, swedish and Denmark movies, very dark, very real.
