However plausible the basic story, it was handled in a surprising and intelligent enough way to keep me. A few minor points that seemed unclear may have been better left out. The big issue seems to be moral ambiguity. This is a movie that shows crimes and gangsterism as ugly and scary, so according to the rules you don’t compromise with that. But Affleck’s character is fine working for the bad guys, except for sometimes. Was this was conceived as an aspect of his disorder? If so they should have clarified that. The characters and situations were interesting enough for them to make a good sequel, in which one hopes they work some bugs out. (Oh yeah: Affleck's character has terrible taste in art. Was that also conceived as an aspect of his disorder?)
