As debut novels go this was ok. The premise was original and Djanikian did a nice job creating a dystopian future world with just enough realism to keep the reader interested. However, the ending severely hurt the overall appeal of this novel. Think of a circle and that is how this story goes; it ends almost exactly where it began. It's like everything that happens in between comes to nothing and what's the point really? I had really hoped for a better finish.
