Of Triton is an amazing sequel to Of Poseidon, starting off with Emma dealing with the new-found information on her mom who was a runaway Syrena, also known as a Poseidon princess. Now that Emma knows her parent’s true identity, another problem appears. As a Half-Breed, Emma is still forbidden from mating with Galen, and according to the Syrena law, should be put to death. If that wasn’t bad enough, reintroducing her mom as the long-lost princess may not have been the best idea especially with a new group set out to start a revolution against the royals. Will Emma stay hiding in the safety of land, or go underwater and use her gift to save the Kingdom Galen treasures so dearly? Although this was not my favourite of the two existing books, Of Triton was still a very enjoyable read that kept me on my toes. The characters were still just as likable in the previous book, except for being left a little less developed than I would’ve liked. In addition to that, the plot starts off quite slow which may displease many readers. It isn’t a complete let-down, but it also didn’t surpass the original.
