Jul 05, 2018TEENREVIEWCREW rated this title 4 out of 5 stars
After watching this movie, I can see why people reference it so often! The characters and the plot are very thought out which creates an immersive experience for the viewer. Although the fight scenes and animations may not be on par with what is available in 2020, I still think this is a timeless movie. The music and overall ambience of the film kept me on my feet craving to see what came next. I would recommend this film to anyone who watches a lot of si-fi so that they can see how popular culture has been influenced by this captivating film. The only real complaint I have is that the relationship between Neo and Trinity felt a bit forced and rushed near the end of the film. I would still recomend this movie and rate it a I would rate this movie a 3.5 out of 5 stars. @blissful_bookworm of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library “Matrix” is a must-see movie. It was released in 1999 and is a really interesting movie to watch with tons of sci-fi/action. It might be a bit confusing the first time you watch since there’s a lot of things going on, but that is why its an amazing film. It gets more interesting as it contains an intriguing and exciting plot with its original story. The cast was well chosen as they fit their role. The plot was well-thought-of and was amazingly shown throughout the movie. The character development for Neo was pretty good. Instead of receiving the matrix powers then and there he trained, and it was fun to watch him get stronger each part of the way. Would be a great film to watch with friends or family as it contains a bunch of adventure, action and a bit of romance. Rate this movie a five out five! @madlad514 of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library The Matrix is a very well-known movie directed by the Wachowskis in 1999. Featuring Keanu Reeves in the lead role, the film is about a man named Neo who discovers that the Matrix is a simulated world created by artificial intelligence, where human minds are trapped under an illusion. Neo joins Morpheus, Trinity, and other characters who are some of the humans battling the AI machines in the simulated world in order to fight for humanity. The film is slow at first, but this is because of the various philosophical ideas discussed. As the story progresses, the film manages to retain these ideas while also showing breathtaking action scenes that have now become iconic. At the very core of the film is an idea that is very intriguing and unique. Thus, the film is different, yet engaging. I would give it 4 stars. @Riveting_Reviews of the Teen Review Board of the Hamilton Public Library
