Add a CommentThis is IMHO the best short story collection from Gaiman. This is probably because I read the other collections after this.
Doesn't live up to the hype.
After reading Fragile Things, The Book of Magic, The Graveyard Book etc., M is for Magic did let me down a little. It felt like a lot of the stories within the book had been printed (whether printed first or reprinted) elsewhere already. But for younger audiences just starting off on the Neil Gaiman books, this is a great place to start. :D
As someone who normally prefers epic tales, the longer the better, while avoiding short stories, this collection of short stories was an exception for me. Some funny, some quirky, some just very creative, these short stories are a good choice for anyone who likes fairy tales and wants to read some modern ones.
