The Princess Aurore has had an unusual childhood. Cursed at birth, Aurore is fated to prick her finger at the age of sixteen and sleep for one hundred years -- until a prince awakens her with a kiss. So, to protect her, Aurore's loving parents forbid any task requiring a needle.

Unable to sew or embroider like most little princesses, Aurore instead explores the castle grounds and beyond, where her warmth and generosity soon endear her to the townspeople. their devotion to the spirited princess grows as she does.

On her sixteenth birthday, Aurore learns that the impending curse will harm not only her, but the entire kingdom as well. Unwilling to cause suffering, she will embark on a quest to end the evil magic. The princess's bravery will be rewarded as she finds adventure, enchantment, a handsome prince, and ultimately her destiny

I liked the original Sleeping Beauty before but I love this Sleeping Beauty now. It's extremely well-written and I found it a remarkable book to read.

A good, but VERY predictable book. Fun to see this story from another point of few, but the final point at the end of the story was visible about ten pages in. Still fun and enjoyable.

This is a very well written re-telling of "Sleeping Beauty" with some very interesting twists and surprises that keep the reader wondering as well as some excellent characters that are not always as they seem at first. This book will grab your attention and keep you reading till you reach the end.

I love how everything turns out in the end. Cameron did a very good job writing this book. All in all a very good read.

Unique retelling of "Sleeping Beauty", with several unusual twists. This is my favourite of Cameron Dokey's books.

“I think the worst part is that when you know you dream another person's dream, you can never truly feel at peace. Never truly trust yourself. If you carry around somebody else's nightmare, who knows what else your insides might hide or when it might come out?”
