I wouldn't say this book is for the feint of heart. The romance is dark, violent and harsh. Sometimes I couldn't say there was any love at all between Chloe and Bastien. But then, slowly but surely, there were little hints of their true feelings. It was rewarding to read it through to the end since buried in all the lies and pain there hid a pure, innocent and strong love for one another. I would say language, plot, character development, and relationship development were all excellent. Would recommend. As long as you can handle a little violence.

Chloe Underwood found herself living an unfulfilling, quiet life in France. She only wished for a little 'sex and violence' to liven things up. Unfortunately Chloe got exactly what shes wished for. When coerced into taking a private translation job by her roommate, Chloe is expecting a quiet, boring weekend spent translating trade deals between grocery executives. What she gets is a powder keg of some of the most influential and dangerous arms dealers in the world. Thanks to her infallible curiosity and stubbornness Chloe is being hunted by these monsters and must trust the one man she fears the most...Bastien Toussaint, if that is his real name.
