First of all don't let other people's review prevent you from discovering a book for yourself. I was told by several people not to read this series and I am so glad I didn't listen to them. Reached is the third book in the Matched series and it is the continuation of the love triangle between Kai-Cassia-Xander and how it is affected by the events that are going around them, their choices, and their loyalties. This book recaps events that occurred in the first book and questions are answered. The poetic beauty in Condie's writing continues in this concluding book in this series. There are some beautiful moments in this book and their are also sad and tragic moments as well. Condie does a good job of keeping her reader in suspense as events keep going from bad to worse as this novel progresses. A satisfying conclusion to this novel as Cassia figures out how everything in her life happened for a reason and she reaches a point of serenity inside herself and no longer feels guilty about her choices. Condie's writing is interesting, but it is more emotional and psychological than active and suspenseful. Her books took me to another place and time and showed me the beauty of nature and the human condition.

So, I recently read the first book of this series and clicked on these comments to check if this was the second book. After reading about KeitaWolf disappointment and Kesha's SPOILER I think I'll pass on the rest of the series.

what a terrible conclusion. This series deteriorated from book to book. It's written as if there was no planning whatsoever. I can't help but feel like the author wrote from book one to three with no idea of where the story would go. Because of this the text jumps around a lot, and the plot point for book 3 comes out of nowhere. If I'd known it would be this bad I wouldn't have bothered with the first book.

I anticipated this ending from the onset of the series. I was team Xander all the way and loved how his ending came to be and found that Ally Condie Reached a suitable conclusion to a fun and adventurous dystopia.
