As a teacher, I loved the simplicity of this story and its beautiful art. Because it had few words I was able to use my Spanish skills and tell the story to first graders in three installments. They loved it and looked forward to seeing how the story ended!

My 6-year-old granddaughter didn't care for this book, but I thought it was lovely.

Just a heartwarming story about two friends. Gentle, nicely-paced. Lovely.
