I learned so much not only about Lewis and Clark while listening to this book, but about life in early America, President Jefferson, and what happened after their incredible journey. The author did a nice job of acknowledging both the positives (uncharted territory; adventure!) and the negatives (rampant syphilis; abuse of Native populations). Highly engaging and thought-provoking.
