I found this book to be quite helpful. As a woman planning on having an unassisted home birth, there seem to be very little information about the subject, especially in the library system. Shanley gives an insightful look at home birthing, how to trust ones instincts, and the power of manifestation. She also gives great recommendations at the end, and sites some interesting works throughout the book. If you're interested in home birth, unassisted or otherwise, I recommend giving it a read.
