He's ingenious, he's phobic, he's obsessive-compulsive. Monk's hilarious, offbeat antics have made him unfit for duty, but he's back as a police consultant to help out on their most baffling cases.

First and foremost I have to say that if you've never seen this show, it may take some getting used to. I had to watch several episodes before I fully understood the series (ie: Adrian Monk's quirks and OCD). That being said, this is probably the most unique series ever made. The cast is incredible; the standout performer here being Tony Shalhoub. He and Bitty Schram (as his nurse Sharona Fleming) work with Capt. Stottlemeyer and Lt. Randy Disher to solve crimes in the city of San Francisco. "Monk" will make you laugh hysterically and even cry at many of the sentimental moments. Adrian's most important crime to solve is the murder of his beloved wife, Trudy, and we see him struggling to get on with his life, nearly four years after her death. With the help of Sharona, Stottlemeyer and Disher, he just might succeed. Combine that with his numerous trips to his therapist, Dr. Kroger (Played by the wonderful late Stanley Kammel), and you have a show that you'll remember long after the credits have rolled.
