This book features great humour and a good romance. My only complaint is how seriously everyone takes the rivalry between the two historical villages, even the parents. It's unrealistic and not believable as the motive for Chelsea's actions, But if you overlook this flaw, you will find the book is very enjoyable and otherwise well written. Highly recommended for a light read, by both myself (age 47) and my 14 year old daughter.

Past Perfect is laugh out loud funny with characters that are easy to relate to. It also has a really cool setting - a historical village. If you're looking for a light YA romance, check this one out.

In Past Perfect, the little jokes here and there kept the story a little light, and the setting was very different - in a good way. It took place in Essex Village, one of those living history places. I can't say I've ever read a book that took place in somewhere like that before. So, you have to read this, it's awesome.
