I love this award-winning book! [Spoiler] I totally think one character ate the other. (Trying not to give it completely away!) Some people think one character just ran away, but that is sooo not my interpretation. What do you think?

Wait -- what are we teaching our children, here? That they are too dumb to understand anything but the most boring and repetitious of stories? That stealing, lying, and stupidity are funny? That escalation and revenge are any way to deal with problems? I can't imagine why this won an award, but I certainly won't be reading it to any of the children in my life.

This is a very unpopular opinion, but I don't like this book. The drawings are nice, and if it were written for adults, that would be just fine. But all I get out of it is if someone steals my hat, particularly a bunny, I can eat them to get it back. I found the completely red page particularly disturbing.

A very entertaining story. 5 year old asks to have it read to her at least four times a day.

Great book! A mystery for 1st Graders. Yea they are asking for more books to read. Now, that's a good thing.

No. Why are you asking me. I haven't seen it. I haven't seen any hats anywhere. I would not steal a hat. Don't ask me any more questions.

I HAVE SEEN MY HAT.
