When Cat stumbles upon the Game Masters of Arcanum, she initially passes them off as nonsensical. But when she discovers that their Game of Triumphs is real, she seizes the opportunity to risk it all to claim one of the Game?s momentous prizes?justice for her parents? murder.

This was ok - there is a sequel, which I think will make or break the series for me. The potential of the game was fantastic - a real life RPG based on Tarot, that seemed well developed and intriguing. But the writing and (lack of action) and characters all fell flat for me. It could be great - maybe it was just a really long prologue to the sequel Master of Misrule. Or maybe Laura Powell just put so much into developing the game itself, that she just rushed through her plot line. Which is what drives me nuts. The plot wasn't bad at all - it just was not delivered in a way that made me excited, or had me on edge with anticipation. It was just...happening. Could be good. Wasn't fantastic. We shall see.

This was really quite interesting and once you understand the Game and the cards and stuff, quite an adventure.
