A cheesy 50s sci-fi double feature made for the drive-in or midnight movie show. Producer/Director Roger Corman made a lot of movies, many of them a bit campy or corny, but none of them boring. He worked fast and cheap, but he had a nose for talent and he helped launch the careers of Jack Nicholson, Francis Ford Coppola, Jonathan Demme, Bruce Dern and many others. "Attack of the Crab Monsters" is worth it just for the movie poster. Like "Them" or "Tarantula," it's a giant radioactive creature feature. "Not of this Earth" is about an alien race (well, two aliens) who look human, but are out for our sweet, sweet blood. Look for frequent Corman bit player Dick Miller as a vacuum cleaner salesman. Lots of fun for the b-movie aficionado. Also see the documentary "Corman's World" and the recent coffee table book about Corman's movies, full of incredible posters.
