Opinion

From Library Staff

Extend this story by making spaghetti together! There is so much opportunity to expose young children to science and math in the kitchen.

All 3 of my children loved this story and my 8 year old has not yet completely tired of it. Like many folk/fairy tales it has a lesson to impart. Tomi DePaola's illustrations add to the easy to read text. It is a great little read to share with your children from age 3 to 6 (or older if it becomes a great favourite).

A really cute story about magic and the power of love (not just the sappy power of love, but as the secret ingredient in making lotions and potions...and good pasta!)
