Best book I’ve read in many months. I absolutely loved it! It follows a team of highschool seniors from California through the 2009 FIRST robotics competition season. They have to build a robot in six weeks, compete in regional competitions – the ultimate goal is making it to Atlanta for the finals. I was inspired and excited by this book – it made me wish for an alternate universe where I was a math/computer/engineering genius too. Check out FIRST Canada for further info on this super-cool program. (submitted by JF)

The clock is ticking from the first page. Will teacher Amir Abo-Shaeer and his students meet the 6 week deadline to build their robot? Will it be good enough for the fierce competition they will face? Will the students learn math, physics, teamwork and perseverance along the way. A school project that reads like a,fast paced edge of your seat thriller.Stand aside jocks, the new cool kids are in science class. Get your geek on,and enjoy this High school adventure, time is running out.
