In a world that has become overrun with zombies, two men must figure out how to survive. Wimpy Columbus is afraid of his own shadow, while Tallahassee is the biggest, baddest, gun-toting zombie-slayer who ever lived. When they meet two sisters, Wichita and Little Rock, the four strike out for an amusement park that is said to be zombie-free. This mismatched group will have to rely on each other to survive, which could be worse than surrendering to the zombies.

This is a movie I genuinely adored. I loved the humorous take on the zombie horror genre, and the actors played into their roles well, from over-dramatic, to dry and straight, the deliveries made most of the jokes hit their mark.

For anyone who likes zombie films and horror this is a fun little comedy in that vein that's worth a look.

Of course tastes differ, as all these comments reflect, but to my wife and me, Zombieland is hysterically funny. We have zero interest in zombie movies, and only got on to this because of the four principals--none of whom disappoint. They bring irony almost, but not quite, to the point of parody. We finally just bought the DVD, which will probably disintegrate because we watch it so much.

If you think the on-screen chemistry between Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg in the Now You See Me movies is magical, just wait until you see them together in Zombieland. I recommend Zombieland for fans of zombie movies, Shaun of the Dead and/or comedy horror films. Its writers went on to write Deadpool. Zombieland is rated R for horror violence/gore and language.

This Zombie-epic can be closely compared, to George A. Romero's zombie-film's, although this movie is, even with all the gore, death and guns, a comedy, which is what this movie is clearly trying so hard to prove, though-out. I enjoyed Woody Harrelson's character, who I think steals the show from Jesse Eisenberg, but he's funny in his own way. Recommended to people who love Horror-films, zombie-culture, and lists.

A perfect intersection of zom and com.

It might be classified as 'horror' but it's also FUNNY! Woody, Emma, Jesse, & Abigail are all great in this movie

A playful take on the zombie genre; but for me, the jokes were more for "nerd-culture" as opposed to say, clever jokes.
Something about the writing felt rather bland and predictable to me.

Hilarious the first time around. I love Woody and Emma and the fact that Bill Murray plays "himself" = great.

You'll be making so many references to this after watching. :)

"Zombieland" was on the way to being summarily ejected until Woody Harrelson showed up in the black escalade with the snowplow front end and the Dale Earnhardt-style #3 on the doors. THAT made me laugh out load and stay the ejection! I'm glad I stuck around, a good show with lots of yucks and a very funny cameo by Bill Murray.

This movie is funny as hell. I felt guilty for laughing at times! Then I remembered...it's just a movie!

Poor Bill Murray!

This is one of my favorites of 2009 I saw it free online then watched when it came out on dvd. Iwasn't for a long time a fan of the twinkie but I've been eating them lately. I really like the new banana ones. I STILL LOVE THOS CHOCODILES ! ! ! !

The horror comedy Zombieland focuses on two men who have found a way to survive a world overrun by zombies. Columbus is a big wuss -- but when you're afraid of being eaten by zombies, fear can keep you alive. Tallahassee is an AK-toting, zombie-slaying' bad ass whose single determination is to get the last Twinkie on earth. As they join forces with Wichita and Little Rock, who have also found unique ways to survive the zombie mayhem, they will have to determine which is worse: relying on each other or succumbing to the zombies.
