Found this (sequel to Crank) to be a bit more believable and true-to-life. Kristina's struggle to do the things drugs had "helped" her do before while trying to avoid them really drove home how slippery a slope sobriety can be for some. Looking at her family life, her child, and her desire to be "normal", and having them overpowered by her urge to use is so realistic and heartbreaking.
