It would take an entire lifetime to fully implement everything (in a sense, implementing what one learns through this is endless) that is taught here. It would reasonably take months just for the first several chapters alone. It requires careful listening and note-taking, so much so that one would need to listen or read it again and again. The audio quality is mediocre (it skips occasionally, like a scratched CD), as is the narration.

Whenever a fellow human is referred to as His Holiness, that's when you've lost me . . . .

The reader makes listening to this book nearly impossible for me. He may be a wonderful translator, but he does not present the material in a form that is readily comprehendible. The pace is slow, the pauses too frequent, and the intonation somewhat sing-song or hill and valley. Compared to Pema Chodron or the reader used for her longer books, this is a disappointment.
