A quietly moving story, featuring dramatic illustrations, of a boy who feels small in the big city as he searches for a beloved lost pet.

I loved this picture book. The illustrations were captivating, the story simple and interesting, and the ending held a surprise.

Globe 100 2019 Picture book. Warm and gentle text exquisitely enhanced by deceptive illustrations.

A children's picture book that tugs at the heartstrings of adults is a very special thing. With warm illustrations and lyrical text, Small in the City explores big emotions of loss, love and hope in this story of a child's search for a missing pet.
