The 2018 film Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury. Defying stereotypes and shattering convention, Mercury became one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet. The film traces the meteoric rise of the band with their iconic songs and revolutionary sound through to Live Aid, becoming of the greatest performances in the history of rock music.

This soundtrack showcases songs from Queen's Live Aid performance, as well as other live shows they did. The live "Fat Bottomed Girls" on this disc is excellent. Also especially notable is the live stage-studio hybrid of "We Will Rock You" - arguably more enjoyable than the original. Highly worthy of mention, also, is "Doing Alright" by Smile, who were Brian May and Roger Taylor's band before encountering Freddie Mercury and forming Queen.

Sometimes to sounds behind a film make it the picture that sells out, and Bohemian Rhapsody's Soundtrack did just this. The soundtrack almost acted like a "Greatest Hits" album, as it includes some of the band's best well-known material. Although the soundtrack is filled with the iconic sounds of Queen, fans especially loved the inclusion of everything from Queen's performance at "Live Aid," which was remastered to really showcase the musical talent of the band. The album begins with Brian May's interpretation of the "20th Century Fox Fanfare," which hits a strong note with the harmonies and brilliant guitar work by Brian May. It then takes the audience through Queen's earlier tracks, pieces like "Doing All Right" and "Keep Yourself Alive," and then finally gets to the hits we've heard millions of times: "Bohemian Rhapsody," "We Will Rock You," and "We Are The Champions." To only get to the brilliance of Queen at "Live Aid," an experience that will be thought back on for decades. To put it all together, if you have an interest in the performances and best songs from Queen, then I highly recommend listening through the Bohemian Rhapsody Movie's Soundtrack, as it flawlessly pulled together what represents the band. 5/5. @ShowMeTheMonet! of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

Queen. They were truly an amazing band. I want to break free, Radio Ga Ga, Somebody to Love, the list goes on.. I just can't stop listening to them!

I was at the Live Aid Concert at Wembley Stadium. They stole the show that day! This sound track is amazing. Love the Live Aid tracks. Worth it just for that!

Freddie Mercury (1946–1991) lives on. He is celebrated by old boys like myself and teens who are talking about his film and music ... I just learned something new as well:

-Mercury's background - his family are Parsees, followers of the Zorastrian religion whose ancestors came from Persia - was never in the forefront as he sang in Queen. His father, Bomi, was born in India and like many went to a British possession in Africa to work as a registrar for the colonial government, taking with him his wife Jer.

-The term Mama Mia, in the lyrics of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody and Mama Mia by the Swedish pop group ABBA's Mama Mia, were both recorded in 1975.

- "Love Of My Life (Live)" is not in Queen Greatest Hits I & II but in "A Night at the Opera."

- "Radio Ga Ga (Live)" is in Queen Greatest Hits I & II but not in "A Night at the Opera."

2 reasons I will not watch:

1. Sash Baron Cohen can sing, act and looks just like him, should have been Freddie

2. It is rated pg-13 instead of R.....I was hoping for a film like Oliver Stone's The Doors.....which was and is the best rockumentary ever

I was a little boy that spent time with Freddy Mercury just before he left this world and he was a showman right up until the end.
