From Library Staff

Books without words can be overwhelming at first, but the key is to work with your little one to describe what is happening in the illustrations and string together your own narration. Even if your child isn't verbal, talking to your child is a great way to demonstrate good reading habits.

My 2 1/2 year old daughter could not get enough of this book. Eventually, we had to take it back, but we read it every night that we had it!

A delightful story, told through pictures, of a little girl and her interaction with a wave. She plays with the wave, she makes faces at the wave, and the wave keeps coming back. It reminds me of when I was a kid and used to go to the beach and play in the waves. Staff picks 2009
