Could easily picture book as British situational comedy with long suffering bookseller, "do as I bloody well please" worker, & the assorted customers. Boy do he have a love/hate relationship on monopolistic
I am curious of the books he sprinkled in year long diary like Tokyo Lucky Hole, or Orwell's bookshop memories...

Delightfully depressing. It took me a little bit to get into this book as it is so wildly different from what I normally read, yet I also found that I could not put it down. I looked forward to reading this book more and more every day. I admit it took me way longer than it should to figure out what "Books Found" meant, but that is my own fault for being a dunce.

This is one book I was sad to finish because it is over, but I will recommend to anyone who will listen as I am so pleased to have read it.

I was excited to read this book as I love Scotland and books. I found it to be a bit too slow and wasn’t very happy how it ended. I know it’s someone’s personal diary for a year but it just didn’t draw me in like I was hoping for.

A fascinating look behind the scenes of a bookstore in a small town in Scotland.

This book about a used book shop in remote Wigtown, Scotland is a must read for book lovers. Many hilarious moments

A fun read telling the many stories of Shaun, the owner of The Bookshop, Wigtown (it's Scotland's largest second hand bookshop). He has met many characters and his stories are full of humour. He also gives the perspective of the bookseller when it comes to online orders (through Abe Books and Amazon). It may make you think twice...

If you have ever worked in a bookstore, you will know all these people, both staff and customers. I only wish I could visit and actually see this marvelous establishment!

The title says it all. This is a daily journal - a year in the life of a book seller who owns The Bookshop in Wigtown Scotland. Some may find it awfully dull but if you are a bookish person who has always dreamed of working with books, you will enjoy this. There are plenty of quirky but interesting people in his life and you get a good insight to the book business. The daily posting are very brief so it is an easy book to pick up and put down for little pockets of reading.
