Opinion

From Library Staff

Aven has to deal with new classmates who cannot see beyond her lack of arms while also trying to figure out her connection to her new home--a ghost town of a theme park.

Aven was born with no arms, but she gets along just fine, until she has to deal with a new school, a new life, and a strange new mystery to solve. Also available as ebook.

I had to read this based on the title alone, and it's a great book. Aven was born without arms and has moved to a western theme park with her adopted parents. So she has to make friends at her new school, where the kids don't quite understand how to deal with someone who is differently abled. A great cast of characters and a mystery add to this book's charm. I recommend this for ages 9-12
