Yes, it was naughty & nice novel in that magic group stumbled & bumbled in Mundania or use a human scholar to find King Trent & Queen Iris.
No wonder publisher wanted Piers Anthony to write all the time.
Author was my introduction to fantasy.

My all-time favorite book. Part of the Xanth series, it has it all: magic, humor, romance, and adventure. Dor must peril the dangers of Mundania(our non-magic world) in order to save the king and queen. In the process, he learns to trust himself and falls in love. While the rest of the Xanth series is pretty good, this one outshines them all. I can reread it over and over again. Some of the humor is bawdy, but without being too risque. If it were a movie it would be more PG-13, I guess. Not for younger kids.
