I am blown away by Follett's Hemingwayesque style and suspense. The author drew me right into the land of Afghanistan and its unique culture. I felt as if I were there. Follett's plot development makes such an incredible story highly realistic. The writer skillfully revealed the most intimate inner longings of each character in direct contrast to sculpting amazing deception and subterfuge. Warning: graphic in more ways than one.

Very interesting. I didn't think I would like it, but, I found that I couldn't put it down. Good story, except for all the 4 letter words. Could limit those, and shorten the description of love making making details. After 1 or 2 para nothing more is really needed. But, he is a great story teller.

Lie Down With Lions ---- by Ken Follett c - 1986 ---- This is a good Story ---- Two Men and a Woman, both men in love and at ends, as the men are on both sides of the cold war. ---- It is a very fast paced story and written so well that at times I was there! ---- If you know what I mean. ----- Enjoy! ---- RichardPaul
