This novel is a light-hearted espionage comedy about a reluctant secret agent, James Wormold, who constructs clever schemes to deceive the British Secret Service. The novel is set in Cuba during the regime of Fulgencio Batista and provides a realistic description of 1950's Cuba. I especially enjoyed the touching romance that blooms towards the end of the novel.
