A superlative story and long! But it's one I have read more than once over the years, and still find enjoyable. And it's one of the few Michener books I have actually been able to finish.

The Source is one of my all-time favorite books. I love how the author can turn a small item, long hidden in the earth, into a fascinating story. We are taken on a journey through ancient history, with each period in time illuminated by the lives of a few individuals.
