Sex scene came too early in the story to continue reading I decided; hard to tap into the fact people meet the way they did here and have sex when they hardly know each other, strains credibility that is, not an outdoor enthusiast anyway.

Author's strong ecological viewpoint very evident throughout this novel. At times, I felt that it interfered with the story line.

This has been my favorite book of the year so far. I love Kingsolver's meditations on nature and the farming lifestyle. In this book the conflict between organic/non-organic farming methods is riveting. I enjoyed the story threads from all three of the main characters and couldn't wait for the next chapter so I could find out more! A must read for anyone that enjoys reading about the great outdoors or just needs a jump-start into the spring mindset.
