As the holidays draw near in Caerphilly, Mother gets involved in a big Christmas-themed decorator show house -- each room of an untenanted house done by a different decorator for a public tour. When Mother insists that Meg pitch in, she finds herself surrounded by flamboyant personalities with massive egos. Then the rooms start to be sabotaged, and an unfortunate designer turns up dead -- making Mother a prime suspect.

TERRIFIC Series !!!! Donna Andrews makes each of her books different and engaging. Not like some authors who tend to use the same theme or story line over and over. She adds new, fun, and quirky characters along with old favorites. The plots have twists and turns to keep you guessing and characters teaching human kindness. A wonderful cozy to enjoy all year long.

Another great addition to this enjoyable series. The characters are quirky and the mystery is cozy. Add in the Christmas decorating theme and you have a winning combination.

As usual Donna Andrews does not disappoint us. I would like to have seen more of the antics of Meg's family members though. I missed Spike being in the thick of things. She needs to put more of Meg's family with all their quirks in more of the stories again as she did in earlier books ,but, it is still a good read.

Only Meg Langslow, with the help of her trusty organizer, could juggle supervising a decorator show house, prepare for Christmas with two boys, handle a cast of off-beat and wacky characters, and of course, solve a mystery. For those who like their mysteries funny and cozy.

I thoroughly enjoy this series of Meg Langslow mysteries. Each new book shows Andrews has grown as an author, the characters are developing nicely, there is good continuity from book to book. I don't know if I'd want to live in Caerphilly but I certain would like to visit.
