I have seen all 4 seasons of this series and I really like it. My favorite character in season one is Grant Ward, I thought he is really capable and reliable, always trying his best to keep every member in the team safe and finish every mission given. However, there's a big surprise about Ward at the end of season one. Coulson is definitely the core of the team. He recruited Skye, which helped Skye figure out her value. May is another field agent, who is to some extent like Wark, cold and capable. Fitz-Simmons are tech-nerds, they are talented and provide weapons for the team, meanwhile handling all weird stuff. Skye is a hacker. The whole season is about the team. They went through so many things and dealt with many villains. I would give a 4.5 out of 5.

For fans of the first Avengers movie, the first season of this series is a fun expansion of the Marvel universe. It not only continues the stories of some notable characters from the Avengers movie, but also manages to consistently deliver that perfect blend of action and character development--lightened by a sprinkling of humor--that made the first Avengers movie my favorite of the franchise. It did help me to look up a timeline for the Marvel Cinematic Universe so that I could understand the chronology of how this show fits with the movies and other shows that I have yet to see.

Yes, this is considered Agent's of SHIELD's weakest season, but it still very good and well worth a watch! It has action, drama, suspence and lighter, cute moments. The first season had great rewatch value if you have been watching the later seasons, since season one was very happy in comparison, and it's cool to see how much the characters have evolved! So what are you doing reading my overly long comment? Go check it out(just saying, I still ship SkyeWard)!

Hooked after the first disc. Not a huge Marvel obsessive fan, but I found everything entertaining. Good twists great witty banter. Now on to season 2!

I think once you lower your expectations and take the show and characters for what they are and get rid of all hope that your favorite Marvel characters will show up, it's a pretty fun show to watch.

Seemed like a slow start the first few episodes, but then took some strange turns. Now completely watchable.

I absolutely enjoyed this show from the first episode to the end and cannot wait to watch the second season! Action, drama, Si-fi(i think..) and adventure (and more, but cannot think of any at the moment) my cousin introduced me to it and at first i was like ya later, and when i did watched it I WAS HOOKED!
***WARNING SPOILER ALERT***
there will be a scene where we all will take a moment and be like WHY!! that is all i'm going to say :)

I'm surprised to find that a 'comic book concept' can repeatedly deliver such compelling dramatic excitement, and smartly scripted developments.

Interesting plots, engaging characters, and welcome entertainment.
Especially loved seeing several episodes back-to-back !!

(...and the 'bonus special' on Disc 4, about the development of the 'Marvel Universe', is well worth a watch.)

I loved this. I think you can watch it even if you don't know much else about the Marvel universe in which it is set (although it may prompt you go to rent the recent movies, such as Captain America: Winter Soldier).

Fun and fast episode stories, and the season-long arc got better and better as it went.

The banter and pace mark it as a Joss Whedon product.

Coulson: Bring the noisemaker?
Trip: Sir, I bring the noise and the funk wherever I go.
===
Skye: I have a weapon much better than a bomb that will absolutely destroy you.
Ward: Why's that?
Skye: Because you slept with her, and she's really pissed off.

Coulson: Backup isn’t coming. It will be just the four of us. We'll be outmanned and outgunned, but Fury always said a man can accomplish anything when he realizes he's a part of something bigger. A team of people that share that conviction can change the world. So what do you say? You ready to change the world?
