Sparhawk is the perfect leading character. Talen was pretty awesome too. And you know kurik, bevier, berit, kalten (yes!), Ulath, Tynian, Sephrenia, vanion (so cute together), and who could forget Flute? (I love her!)

Good intro to the series, can be a bit lengthy, but catches you quickly and pulls you into the story wanting more.
